What do you want to be?
Well, I’m currently in school for civil engineering and I’m about to graduate next month, so be a civil engineer is my dream job.

Have you witnessed gender discrimination?
No. There are actually a lot guys in my class, but people are always nice in my class. [Guys are common] in this major and they are always helping me if I have any questions. They are always helpful.

Do you think your experiences in school are different because of your gender?
No. I would have different perspectives with my male classmates, but I would always discuss our different opinions, but there [are]no conflicts based on the gender perspective difference.

What do you want to be?

Data [analyst]or a healthcare financial consultant. If [that]doesn’t work, a math teacher or a business coordinator.

Have you witnessed gender discrimination?
No. In my field, I would see more male students than female students, but female students do work just as hard as male students. They are as intelligent, or even more intelligent, than male students. I can say this from personal experience.

Do you think your experiences in school are different because of your gender?
As far as gender goes, to some professors, yes. They seem to be more biased towards female students than male students. One biology class, I do remember when it [came]to the office hours for the professor… More girls would [get responses], but guys would email him and didn’t get responses from him often compared to girls. We never looked into it, but that’s one of the times I felt the difference.
