Channel the vibrancy of Rio with Brazil’s national cocktail, the caipirinha. Cachaca, aka Brazilian rum, is made from distilled and fermented sugar cane juice instead of molasses like other rum. Thirsty Lion’s fresh take on the lime-and-rum drink blends the sweet tartness of pineapple with the distinct herb-iness of sage.
What you’ll need:
5 Sage leaves
2 Lime wedges
1.5 ounces Pineapple juice
1 ounce Simple syrup
1.5 ounces Cachaca
Ice
Preparation:
Step 1: Muddle lime wedges and sage together with ice.
Step 2: Add Cachaca, pineapple juice and simple syrup.
Step 3: Shake well.
Step 4: Top with ice.
Step 5: Garnish with sage leaf and lime wedge.
