In light of spring break it seems completely appropriate, yet somewhat ironic, that on one of his busiest weeks, Joe Francis, founder of the ever popular "Girls Gone Wild," was released from jail.

Not exactly the kinky fantasy he had hoped for I'm sure.

Francis, who was released yesterday after he pleaded no contest to child abuse and prostitution charges certainly didn't want to spend any time behind bars. These acts which he pleaded no contest to aside, doesn't it go without saying that he has been profiting from the sexual uncertainty of young women everywhere for far too long?

I can't help but wonder why exactly girls my age feel the need to 'go wild?' Now I'm not pulling the saint card here, ask any of my friends and they'll truthfully tell you I am far from the sainthood. The last six or so years have undoubtedly seen my wild side, but why is it that as soon as a camera is waved in these girls faces they see the need to expose the part of them that, when covered, can intrigue guys from across a room with a single glance?

Call me old fashioned, but isn't there something left to be said for a little bit of mystery?

For me trips to Cancun, Rocky Point or any of the various other tropical spring break hot spots conjure up images of tiki drinks and white sand beaches, not me with my shirt lifted over my head. Maybe I'm getting old, but what exactly is the appeal?

I know when guys my age see 'Girls Gone Wild," especially under the influence of alcohol, hoots, hollers and high fives are exchanged happily as they watch one girl after the next flash the screen in a drunken uninhibited moment of youthful insanity.

But ask any one of these guys one on one if they would ever want to marry these girls or, at the very least, commit to a long term relationship, and more often than not the answer is no. It's the same reason that most guys enjoy strip clubs and porn, it's a fantasy, not a reality, that gets them hooked.

In a world where women are still objectified whether we like it or not, I guess it's natural that we will look for attention in situations like these even though there are far better ways to get into a guys mind than through his pants. There have been so many times in my young life where I have lost the respect of men I cared about by revealing my mysteries too soon.

Let's look at some benefits to keeping our boobs to ourselves on those wild drunken nights ladies…
