"In about (a week) we're going to be done remodeling our patio," Russell said. "We're going to have a brand new patio with fire tables and an outside bar."
With 26 TVs (and four more on the way), Philly's is a sports fan's dream. Russell said they subscribe to all the major sports packages, including the NFL, NBA, MLB, college football and college hoops. Philly's also orders most of the major boxing and UFC pay-per-view events, so you can watch the fights there for just a $5 cover instead of shelling out $50 at home.
Happy hour is Monday through Friday,
4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday through Thursday, 11 p.m. to 2 p.m. Drink specials include $2.50 domestic bottles and drafts, $3 wine and well drinks and a selection of $3.95 appetizers.
As great as the atmosphere and drink specials are, it's the food menu that truly sets Philly's apart. Unlike the half-assed assortment of "fresh-from-the-bag" fried foods you'll find at most bars, Philly's menu features steak, baby back ribs, salmon and pork chops in addition to more traditional bar fare like burgers, sandwiches and fries.
But as the name implies, it's the Philly cheesesteaks that are Philly's calling card. With 11 different styles to choose from and the option of either chicken or traditional shaved ribeye, Philly's has a cheesesteak for just about everyone (although we think the original is still the best).
