The Cell Block/Papillons Too in
Vinnie Terrigino, who handles booking duties for the Cell Block, says his goal is to provide a safe, fun environment for underage concertgoers. The venue features a separate bar on the all-ages side that serves water, soda and energy drinks.
But Terrigino also knows that bar sales will always be his bread and butter, so he has made sure that the 21+ side of the venue has plenty to offer as well.
The Cell Block’s two-tiered happy hour caters to both lunch crowds and the traditional post-work patrons. From noon to 2 p.m., domestic drafts are just $1 and well drinks are $2, then from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., drafts cost $2 and wells are $3.
The menu features an array of fried bar food favorites such as wings, chicken strips, mushrooms, zucchini, mozzarella sticks, onion rings and fries. There are no happy hour food specials, but the food is moderately priced to begin with, with most items falling in the $6-$7 range.
Pool tables and video games add to the fun, but the Cell Block’s main draw on nights when no bands are playing might be its jukebox, which features a wide array of music and even allows patrons to download and play their favorite songs from a huge database.
