Weirdo Soaks Up the Sun

It seems as time goes on there are more and more different lifestyles for eating. I was watching "Wife Swap" the other day, my idea of a reality show, and one of the families was from Arizona. The Arizona family was vegetarian and, lo and behold, they had to switch moms with an extremely carnivorous family from a different state.

The Arizona mom, we will call her Mrs. Smith for the sake of the blog, had the strangest diet I have ever heard of. Apparently, she was all for stopping world hunger and understanding a way to survive without eating at all.

This freakin' lady would go stand outside once the sun rose in the morning. She would stand staring at the sun for a given amount of time. Do you know why she did this? Because she felt that she could survive and become full by soaking the nutrients from the sun.

I am all for trying new things, but to deprive yourself of food and convince yourself that the sunrays make you full is really fucking nuts. And she kind of was nuts.

She didn't own a stove and only ate raw vegetables. Her day consisted of eating the sun, practicing yoga and protesting against eating meat. She cried about everything and looked like she was on the verge of a mental breakdown.

After watching this episode, it made me realize that people are taking this whole "organic" thing to an extreme. I don't know much about it, but I hope people aren't developing some sort of chemical imbalance because they are not getting the proper vitamins and nutrients.

Anyway, just so everyone knows, the lady stopped eating the sun for breakfast. I guess you can't stop world hunger by starving yourself. Go figure.
