The Roommate Debate

Abstract:
The past 12 months of my life can easily be compared to the MTV show “The Real World,” except on steroids. Living with the opposite sex can be exciting – the promise of a deliciously good time as the alcohol flows at party after party; the promise of late night hookups with roommates....

It hasn't changed in decades with the number of gay students in college dorms. It's just that now students aren't hiding it anymore.:) Check out our trailer on Gay Marriage. Produced to educate & defuse the controversy it has a way of opening closed minds & creates an interesting spin on the situation: www.OUTTAKEonline.com

"One of my craziest memories while living with nine guys and girls was when a girl I was dating and I walked in on my roommate having sex with a girl in my room," nice words!

The subject or area that you're within the spectrum of is pretty interesting and somewhat amusing, but it's greatly overshadowed by the endless references of sex almost as if it was bragging. We all (not really, but most) of us understand how dorm life or even simple roommate life can go and in any adult or almost adult situation, sexuality can play a key factor. But playing it up in your story to the point where it almost becomes the centerpiece, was a bit tiresome.

"The promise of late-night hookups with roommateS". I'm sure you were going for eccentric in this article but it's a bit of a double-standard implemented in that statement alone. The commentary regarding almost-expected hookups and other such things is at best laughable with a girl discussing it, but with a guy going on about that, it would definitely be an extra creepy, douchey vibe. I know the entire story is about experiences you've had with #'s to accompany it, but remaining neutral rather than glorifying how you enjoyed yourself is at least a bit better when it comes to the good journalism arena. I'm definitely not anything close to a writer or a journalist, just my peasantly opinion.
