Phoenix 'Bloods' member shares stories of pain, truth in novel about his former life

Abstract:
For Dashaun Morris, childhood consisted of being surrounded by drive-by shootings, funerals and gang fights in his Phoenix neighborhood. After running with the Bloods for most of his life, he found himself alone in a prison cell while his friends were being buried and his first daughter was being born....

Wow! That is a wonderful story. It moved me in a way i cannot explain. I have lost friends to gangs, It was almost as if they didnt seem to have any other choice in their lives other than to be apart of one.
I admire what Morris is doing. keep up the good work!
