As a by-product of my job, I read hundreds of articles concerning addiction and recovery every week. So let me begin by saying this is one of the most balanced, professional and intelligent pieces I've read in a long, long time.

Secondly, my heart goes out to the Moyer family and their loss. Perhaps they can find some meaning to their loss in the knowledge that their son's story will help illuminate the truth about methamphetamine, and cut through the stereotypes and misinformation.

The truth is, meth addicts aren't always the cartoon character versions with bugged out eyes and sores all over their face that so many sites seem to take delight in showing. As we illustrate in our "The Other Faces Of Meth" section, http://www.allpositiveoptions.com/APOMeth6aa.htm this drug has the power and potential to take hold of anyone under the right circumstances - people you would not normally associate with drug abuse.

Our best wishes for the Jimmie Moyer Foundation and I hope they will contact us if we can help promote their cause.
