Hygiene is a HUGE issue that should be a no-brainer to take care of, but the sad truth is that a lot of guys are slipping.

First off, manscape. Manscapping is like landscaping for your body. So trim that nose and ear hair, pluck the random hairs sprouting from your shoulder or cheek and trim everywhere! Girls put so much time into shaving, waxing, plucking and cleaning; it's only fair that you do the same.

Which brings me to my second point: don't smell! Take daily showers, especially living in this extremely hot state, the more showers the better! Then obviously deodorize, and squirt on a spritz or two of cologne. You'd be surprised to learn how big effect cologne has on some girls. Trust me, it's worth it. Not sure which cologne to buy? In my experience I've found that girls love L'Eau d'Issey Pour Homme, by Issey Miyake (my personal favorite); Sexy or Vertical from Victoria's Secret; D&G; and your classic Aqua di Gio the most.

Then there's the breath. Bad breath can be a deal breaker, so take care of it. If you're going out to meet girls or out on a date, don't eat anything with onions or garlic in it. Go for something like a hamburger and then pop a mint or a piece of gum and you should be fine.

That takes care of your body, but that's not all it takes to have good hygiene. Other things can be smelly too, like your car. I've known a few guys that have had really smelly cars and it's such a turn off. I'm not sure what it's from but it totally gives the impression that you're a stinky guy, and you don't want that.

What's worse is a smelly bedroom! How can you expect a girl to want to sleep over if your room smells like BO and feet? Ew, not sexy. Two words: Febreeze - use it; and laundry - do it! Febreeze Extra Strength is a godsend. It's so simple and works great. Simply spray in on your bed, couches, pillows, carpet, rugs and even clothes. It eliminates bad odors and leaves everything smelling fresh and clean.

I know doing laundry sucks, but that's life and you have to do it. Piles of dirty clothes make your room smell horrible, especially if they come from a night of partying and reek of cigarettes and alcohol. That also means that wearing dirty clothes will make you smell bad, so wash them the right way; spraying Febreze and Axe on them doesn't count.
