Eight teams made up of four poets will battle for the title of State Slam Champions. Four of the competing teams will be going to the National Poetry Slam Championships in Charlotte, North Carolina. Black Box Theatre, 1330 E. Florence Boulevard, Casa Grande, 520.371.4944, Friday, July 27, 9 p.m., and Saturday, July 28, 10 a.m., $20
